Busy times for Ivor

Ivor on site

During the first six months of 2010, Ivor Goodsite has carried out a record number of 134 visits to locations across the country, participating in a diverse range of events.

In the whole of the 2009 calendar year Ivor carried out a total of 117 visits, so it is encouraging to see how he has been able to further promote the industry and educate even more children about aspects of construction in 2010 so far.

As always, most of Ivor’s time is spent at events involving his younger fans with 81 school visits having taken place. 10 visits have been to construction sites registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme, where children have been able to dress up in PPE and experience first hand the types of machinery used on sites and the jobs undertaken.

The remaining 43 outings have been more unusual including numerous festivals, carnivals and charity events as well as burying of time capsules and Easter egg hunts.
