Ivor in Sweden!

Last month, for the first time in his history, Ivor was invited to go on an exciting trip outside of the UK for a special event week with Skanska Construction in Sweden.

Skanska as a company have used Ivor Goodsite in the UK many times in the past, so when Safety Advisor Michael Baugh, who is now working work Skanska in Sweden, was tasked with holding safety themed event, he knew exactly who to contact. Michael was aware of Ivor and the events he attends already, but though it would be a fantastic idea to showcase him in a country where no-one has ever seen anything like him.

The event was Health and Safety Week, which took place from 13 to 25 May, where Ivor was available to meet and greet members of the public wanting to find out more information about the current Skanska project being carried out. This even included joining in with a stretch and flex session, a very popular activity in Sweden and something employees do every day before they start work.

The company then held a public open day, which was a chance for people to come and look around the new Hospital which Skanska are building. Ivor was also taken on various activities throughout the week, and got to meet lots of delighted parents and children.
