Health and safety talk – Ynyshir Community primary School

School Visit, Rhonnda Cynon Taf

25th February 2009

Ivor joined Willmott Dixon to help deliver a health and safety talk at a local school in Rhonnda Cynon Taf. The £5m Ynyshir Community Primary School will replace the existing separate infant and junior schools in Ynyshir, Rhondda, and bring both together under one roof for the first time. The new state of the art school is being built within the existing school grounds, meaning the message of safety is paramount for the pupils.

Ivor Goodsite taught the children about the potential dangers of a building site and how to avoid any unwanted accidents. The pupils learned all about the protective equipment needed before entering a building site and why safety is so important. They were also given goodie bags and invited to design stay safe posters which could be displayed around the school.
