A trip to Winvic Construction’s site

Winvic Construction’s Winnersh site in Reading

28th October 2014

Staff at Winvic Construction’s Winnersh site in Reading invited a group of children from the nearby Toad Hall nursery to visit for the morning.

The children met Ivor Goodsite and were given a talk about safety and the importance of never playing on building sites by Group HSEQ Manager, Ian Goodhead.

The children also took part in a safety themed competition drawing pictures which will be displayed on hoardings around the construction site.

Ian Goodhead said “The children loved meeting Ivor Goodsite and it was a fun way to get across the safety message and to learn more about what’s happening in their community”.

Ann Middleton, Nursery Manager said “the children were really excited as well as the staff about attending the site, once we were there we were made very welcome by Ivor Goodsite and the rest of the team. The information was scaled to the children’s understanding and they were eager to tell their parents all about their enjoyable time at the building site”.
