Action day

A local Primary School in Portsmouth

8th August 2014

Lifetime Construction held a presentation about Site Safety to a local primary school.

A competition was then launched for the children to draw about what they had learnt form the talk and prizes were awarded for the winning pieces.

The children then got to play a game called ‘Ivor goes to work’, where they got to learn about the correct PPE to be worn on a construction site.

The game involved a relay race where the children were in 2 teams of 5. The game started with the children running to 1st base to put on a hardhat, 2nd base to put on a hi-viz jacket, 3rd base to pick up a tool, and then they had race back to the next person in the line. The winners were the first team back all sat down and all wearing the PPE and holding their tools.

A fab day was had by all and Ivor particularly enjoyed meeting everyone and getting to take part in the relay race!
