Health and safety event, Hampshire

Emsworth Primary School, Hampshire

20 October 2010

Members of Warings’ Community Committee and other members of staff, as well as construction industry mascot Ivor Goodsite, took time out to give the pupils at Emsworth Primary School in Hampshire a taste of what is involved in working in the construction industry through talks, 4D model demonstrations, written materials and using computer software.

This is part of the ‘Passport to Learning’, which is an initiative set up by the National Children’s University, encouraging pupils to participate in innovative learning activities. Pupils also took part in word searches, dressed up in PPE and took the opportunity to give Ivor a cuddle! Whilst he was at the school, Ivor helped to launch a health and safety poster competition which will be judged in November 2010.
