Ivor and McGoff Construction Ltd show students all their is to know about site safety!

November 2019

McGoff construction Ltd at Hinton Grange in Cambridge invited the Year 4 students of nearby Queen Emma school to visit the site as part of their ‘learning of change in the community’ curriculum. 60 students attended in total and were shown how all the different types of machinery worked on site from the viewing platform in the ‘Safe Zone’ on site. Projects Manager Chris Murphy and the team, alongside Ivor Goodsite gave a presentation to the class about construction site safety and the work they were doing on site.

As a parting gift, the students were given Fun Packs before being sent back to school with the task of preparing designs for the annual Ivor Goodsite Hoarding Competition which opens next year. The Queen Emma school will be partnering with the site to hopefully take home the winning prize!
