Ivor attends Morgan Sindall awards ceremonies as guest of honour!
Back in December last year, Morgan Sindall Site Manager Michael Pyatt and his team were eager to involve the future students with the construction of their new school at Six Bells near Abertillery.
This new school would be made up of pupils from the existing primary campuses of Bryngwyn and Queen Street, which are part of Abertillery Learning Community. With such a large number of pupils to engage with, Michael and the team decided that an art competition would be well suited – he wasn’t wrong – the excited students submitted over 200 entries and it was agreed that the staff of both campuses would decide the winners, with them being crowned in the new year.
On the 14th February 2019, the Morgan Sindall site team, accompanied by an incredibly excited Ivor Goodsite attended both campuses to hand out prizes to the budding artists who most impressed their teachers. Two special assemblies were carried out, one at each campus. The staff and students were given an update on the progress of their new school, they had a special Q & A session with Ivor and the Site Team and to top off a wonderful visit the two winning children were presented with brand new Kindles.
Ivor was delighted to attend this event promoting the new primary campus at Six Bells which is being built by Morgan Sindall. When complete, the children from Bryngwyn campus in the area of Six Bells and Queen Street campus in Abertillery will attend their brand new campus which will be called Six Bells.
All the artwork has been gratefully received by Mike and the team and it is proudly being displayed on their site hoardings for the whole community to enjoy. Ivor would like to personally thank both schools and the Morgan Sindall team for being so welcoming. He had a wonderful day!”
