Ivor Goodsite attends a whole host of schools in Glasgow

1-7 October 2015

Keepmoat Invited Ivor Goodsite to a whole host of schools in Glasgow. Ivor attended 4 different schools throughout the week, spreading the message of health and safety throughout the construction industry.

Lochfield Primary in Paisley

Keepmoat are working at the School replacing existing soffits along with roof works. This involved erecting scaffold around the whole school for several months.

St Leonard’s Primary School, East Kilbride

Bellsbank Primary & Newmilns Primary both in East Ayrshire.

We are working on a house close to these schools. These works included a mixture of new roofs, boarding & rendering, new soffits & downpipes and cavity wall insulation. This involved erecting scaffold around the individual properties for a few weeks at a time.

In each of the schools Keepmoat did a presentation to raise the children’s awareness of the dangers of venturing onto building sites and climbing scaffolds and increasing their general health and safety awareness to reduce the likelihood of accidents and incidents.

These safety talks, delivered as part of an assembly, are particularly relevant before school holidays. The children were very enthusiastic about the presentation and the poster competition. In each case there were children at the school whose house we were working on.
