Ivor Goodsite visits Todholm Primary

Todholm Primary School, Glasgow

20th November 2014

Todholm Primary School welcomed a very special visitor when Ivor Goodsite, along with Wates Construction, dropped in to explain the dangers of playing on construction sites.

400 pupils at Todholm received a safety awareness talk and later took part in an art competition, drawing the safety lessons they learned from the session. A winner was selected from each of the 14 classes and Ivor presented the winners with their prizes.

Kevin Callaghan, Wates Site Manager said “As we are working in the area close to the school we see it as our responsibility to provide the local young people with an important safety message on how to stay safe around construction sites.

The children have been great and put a lot of effort into their drawings. We hope this message stays with the pupils for a long time.”

Aileen Cochrane, Deputy Head at Todholm Primary said “It was a great day; the children had a lot of fun meeting Ivor and were thrilled with the prizes received for the drawing competition.”
