Two school safety talks, St Helens

Thatto Heath Primary School and Newton-le-Willows Primary School, St Helens

11 to 13 October 2010

Ivor Goodsite along with the Conlon Construction team paid a visit to Thatto Heath Primary School and Newton-le-Willows Primary School, St Helens.  It is here Conlon will carry out new extension and refurbishment programmes to the existing schools over the coming months.

The aim of these visits was to speak to the schools to explain the dangers of a building site from a child’s perspective. The events included interacting with a health and safety DVD, dressing up in PPE, meeting Ivor Goodsite and even directing a small excavator to hook plastic fish out of a pond! The message of ‘Never go on a building site’ was firmly left with all the children and staff alike.  A good day was had by all.
